Life is full of changes, and for empty nesters, the shift from a bustling household to a quieter, emptier home can be both liberating and bittersweet. While some empty nesters come to find themselves drowning in their extra free time, entrepreneur Lori Hare decided to take the plunge and start something new with her newly found free-time.
After her children graduated from high school, she started a small online business where she created and sold items that she produced at home. She had dreamed of having her own storefront one day but did not feel that she would be able to fill it up with her items alone. As her business grew, she met many other small business entrepreneurs that were also selling products out of their home. This led her to the idea that she has now made a reality with her business the Melted Crayon Gift Shop in Jamestown.
At the Melted Crayon Gift Shop, you will find Lori’s own products as well as many other unique items, most of which are made right here in North Dakota or help support a small North Dakota entrepreneur. They offer a large variety of products for all occasions and tastes. In the store, you can find items such as socks made from alpacas farmed here in ND, stained glass made by an artist in Minot, candles made in West Fargo, body scrub created out of Grand Forks and popcorn popped and flavored in Jamestown.
No matter who you are shopping for (yourself included), you are sure to find a splendid gift with a visit to the Melted Crayon. Check them out for yourself in Downtown Jamestown and visit their Facebook page online to learn more about their products.
