Fall is a favorite time of year for lots of folks, including many of us at Valley Wealth Advisors. It is a wonderful time to reflect on the past months and truly be thankful for the countless blessings we have received and all the splendid people in our lives. As a way to celebrate this time of year, we teamed up with Danielle Jorissen of Cookie Platz to bring clients a unique experience.
We hosted a Fall Cookie Decorating Class at Alley Beans in Valley City on Monday, November 22nd. Guests were given six fall themed cookies to decorate with the help of Cookier (a term we learned means cookie decorating expert) Danielle Jorissen. She taught the class how to essentially watercolor paint their cookies using food coloring and a paint brush. She shared many other tips and tricks on how to ice and decorate sugar cookies as well as what kind of supplies are helpful in doing so. Guests also learned about lettering and airbrush techniques and were given the opportunity to try them out.
After enjoying coffee and kuchen, cookie decorating, and good company - guests left with six beautifully decorated cookies. Each person also received a to-go kit filled with another half dozen cookies and supplies to further cultivate their new decorating skillset at home.
